Motherhood and God: Planting the Seed of Faith, Breaking Ground, Cultivating, Gathering

Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.

Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.

Home is the first place we experience the love of God, the love of family and a place of rest and refuse.

Many of us wish to have our home and motherhood reflect the home we remember, or the one we are called to create.

For some moms home was not as nurturing a place and they wish to bring into being a home quite different than the one in which they were raised.

Some feel their childhood home was fine but still want to “improve” on the childhood experiences of home, and others wish to conceive a home that is both “holy” and “lived in”.

As moms we know that home is a paradox, it can/should/is the source of consistency but is always in a state of flux; and it’s that flux that makes it important to try and have a time for the sacred everyday.

And the sacred includes care for and nurturing ourselves: Body, Mind and Spirit.

Spiritual Direction can help you balance Body, (Are you taking care of yourself?), Mind, (Have you prayed about it?), Spirit, (Is it true to your calling?), together to help you achieve your calling from God as mom and woman.

Nurture Your Important Inner Life
