This Sunday is Mother’s Day.  For some moms, issues that may or may not have been dealt with can come to the fore in a huge way during many aspects of motherhood.   When you are enslaved it is very difficult to see Jesus as a friend.

Yet, it can be seen as a way to completely let gone all that enslaves us.   If we truly believe that God as made us new that change is possible.  It comes with discerning what it is that we must work out, work on to control, limit and transform.  We can never “get rid” of whatever it was because it is now part of us.  Still, God’s power to help us change gives us power to become new, strong, whole, even with all our flaws.

This Mother’s day I am praying that all my fellow moms can be whole, blessed and strong.
