Mommy Mantra for September 17, 2013 “The dead man sat up” Luke 7: 15

I am thinking about life before kids and life after. There are those moments after the thrill of knowing you are going to have a baby and reality sets in that you think…..Can I do this?

You feel like a zombie half the time dead from lack of sleep. You can’t imagine there will ever be a day without nappies, feedings, crying. Then comes “that” day. That day when suddenly it all feels right. When you can’t imagine life without children. Now the real work will begin what is your calling now that children are in your life.

It is as if Jesus has touched our funeral bier.
