Living Dangerously

Mommy Mantra for June 25, 2013: Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. (Matthew 7:12)

I wake up, say devotions and then hit Facebook and tool around my timeline, and I found the most interesting thing from one of my Facebook followers: Caleb Thomas Heffern.   He writes: Revolt Against the Modern World. Today the Gospel is to, badly paraphrase it, the Golden Rule.

So many Christians say sentiments like the one Caleb offers…but if you read what Matthew has to say, especially in today’s Gospel…we are called to be very active, not passive and allow ourselves to reject the world and then say: “Oh, well it’s not my fault!”

We are called to be in the world but not part of the world and if you want change, than be the change you seek.
