In my Father’s house

John 14: 2 In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places.  This morning’s Gospel is the one where Jesus is comforting the Disciples.  He tells them no to worry, to have faith, he will come back, that where he is going, (heaven), God has created a special place of all, so there will be room for you and everyone he tells them.

The usual message of don’t worry have faith is not what strikes me, no, it’s the many dwelling places.  I have a Facebook Friend Loralei Von Bretton whose love of her life is an Egyptian who..well it best to visit her page and learn of his plight.  Well, I have to admit that before 9/11 I had little thought good or bad for anyone who was Muslim, after 9/11 not so much.  It took many, many years for my shock to wear off, than the mistrust and now through the knowing of this wonderful woman I have come to see  the similarities not the differences.

So, when the Gospel speaks of God having many dwelling places, in some translation they are mansions, I KNOW that God is bringing EVERYONE home to heaven; doesn’t matter what race, color, ethnicity, sexual origination, nothing;  because before the world began God create those mansions for us and he is wanting us to take occupancy.
